About the Artist

Jenny fell in love with flowers when she got her first job at age fifteen hand-painting furniture to match floral fabrics for the incredibly talented interior designer Joan Peters of Osterville. After high school, she studied painting at the Rhode Island School of Design, graduating in 2005. For a long time, she thought she would be a portrait painter, as she is so inspired by the Pre-Raphaelites, the painters of the Boston School and Mary Cassatt and Berthe Morisot. It wasn’t until Jenny married her high school sweetheart Thomas in 2011 that he suggested she paint flowers, and her work hasn’t been the same since. She finds flowers so inspiring and exhilarating to paint. They change from day to day, hour to hour, minute to minute even, and she loves trying to capture a little of their beauty. Her goal is to transfer a little bit of her awe, her inspiration, into paint on canvas.
Jenny lives on the south shore of Massachusetts with her husband and daughters.
